INSTITUTE OF ORGANIC ARCHITECTURE
BACK TO SELECTED WORKS Located in the forest on the south side of Palomar Mountain (famous for the 200 inch Paolmar Telescope) lies the site for the Institute of Organic Architecture, "IOA." The site is 4000 feet above sea level with views south towards the Pacific Ocean and Mexico. The purpose of the Institute is to provide a Center for learning how to design-build original Architecutre that is symbiotic with Nature. This is the beginning. Participation includes working directly with the founder, Kendrick-Bangs: Kellogg, in a hands-on effort of preparing the site for a system of electricl, waste, and water. Eventually participation will include building workshops of shell construction and self-sustainable systems. There are no fees for campers or camping on the iste. Tuition, at this time, is waived and participation is on a voluntary basis at any time of the year. Please send application and a few sketches of your best work prior to scheduling an interview.
